Alain Caillol, one of the kidnappers of the baron Edouard-Jean Empain, rich heir to the Empain-Schneider industry group removed in 1978, reconsiders for the Parisian one the spot of detention, in the Hennocque careers of Méry-on-Oise. There, the kidnappers and their hostage lived more than one year in the darkness and moisture.

The lawsuit opened in 1982, four years after the facts. They will be condemned to custodial sentences from 2 to 20 years, the kidnappers bailing out of the heaviest sorrows (15 to 20 years).

Thirty four years after the facts, Alain Caillol leaves one entitled book Lumière (Editions Cherche Midi), in which he reports the business. The Parisian one returned with him on one of the places of the drama to the research of the exact place of the detention of the baron Empain. And of memories.
